This year’s Remembrance Parade was a particularly special moment for our school community as it took place for the first time in our new Dining Hall dedicated to St Benedict. The space, blessed earlier this term by the Apostolic Nuncio, became a place of deep reflection, respect, and unity as staff and pupils gathered to honour all those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.
Our servicemen led the event with pride and dignity. After marching smartly into the hall, they took their place at the front and invited the entire school to join them in a solemn two-minute silence. Their poise and discipline set the tone for a moving act of remembrance.
As the hall fell completely still, one of our talented school musicians performed The Last Post, the sound echoing through the building for everyone to hear. The haunting melody, combined with the silence that followed, created a powerful moment of shared reflection across the whole school.
The occasion brought together our community in the spirit of remembrance, gratitude, and peace—values at the heart of our dedication to St Benedict. The school is proud of our servicemen and all pupils who contributed to a deeply respectful and memorable event.
