Last night, our school community gathered for the Advent Carol Service—a truly inspirational celebration marking the close of the Michaelmas Term. The service was a beautiful expression of faith and tradition, filled with music, prayer, and reflection as we prepare for the coming of Christ.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our boys for their generosity of spirit and talent. Their readings were thoughtful and reverent, and the music—both instrumental and vocal—was exceptional. Pieces such as O Holy Night, sung and played so beautifully, reminded us of the profound hope and joy of the season. Likewise, the moving rendition of Mary, Did You Know? invited us to reflect deeply on the mystery of the Incarnation with its powerful line: “Mary, did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?”
We are also deeply grateful to Canon Simon and the Cathedral community for their warm hospitality, which made this occasion so special.
As we approach Christmas, may the message of these carols continue to resonate in our hearts, inspiring us to live with faith, hope, and love.
