Exam Results Sixth Form

St Cuthbert’s is immensely proud of the achievements of its young men, demonstrating their commitment, resilience, and academic strength. This year’s outcomes reflect the school’s vision of ‘forming great men’ who are now prepared to take their place in the world.

A third of our students have secured places at Russell Group universities, with many embarking on highly competitive courses and apprenticeships, and nearly all have achieved their first or second choice destinations. The breadth of subjects studied and pathways chosen reflects the school’s focus on providing a personalised educational experience that nurtures each student’s unique God-given gifts and talents, as well as their individual aspirations.

This year’s leavers are heading to an extraordinary range of destinations, from world-leading universities such as Oxford, Imperial College London, University College London, and Liverpool, to competitive degree apprenticeships and vocational pathways. They will go on to study subjects as diverse as international relations, engineering, mathematics, computer science, physiotherapy, and film. Behind each destination is a personal journey; some have made exceptional academic progress since joining St Cuthbert’s, others have overcome challenges in previous schools, and many have shown remarkable resilience and determination. What unites them all is the brotherhood they share: supporting one another through challenges, celebrating each other’s successes, and living out the values that define St Cuthbert’s. These achievements are not only a testament to their talent, but to the character and compassion they have shown along the way. We look forward to following their future journeys with great interest and pride.

"I am exceptionally proud of the progress our young men have made since embarking on their Sixth Form journey," said Mr Turner, Head of Sixth Form. "They have shown remarkable commitment to their studies, but what has been even more wonderful is the compassion they have shown to one another. Our young men often refer to themselves as a brotherhood, and that sense of unity has been clear throughout their time in Sixth Form—especially today, as they supported each other while receiving their results."

This year’s achievements are a celebration of the school’s continued success in empowering young men to reach their full potential.
