Year 9 pupils recently presented an assembly to their peers in Years 7, 8 and 9, sharing the work they have been involved in through the We Are Holocaust and Genocide programme. During the assembly, they spoke about the powerful experiences they had throughout the programme, including the honour of meeting two survivors and hearing their stories first-hand. The pupils reflected on what they learned from these encounters, how the experience deepened their understanding of remembrance and the importance of challenging hatred and discrimination, and outlined the next steps in their legacy project to help ensure these stories continue to be remembered and shared.
