At St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School, we are proud to foster student leadership and active participation in school life through our School Council. This term, the democratic process was once again brought to life as pupils across all year groups took part in electing their new School Councillors.
The journey began in Form Time, where boys nominated and elected their Form representatives. These pupils showed great enthusiasm and commitment, putting themselves forward to represent the views of their peers. Once elected, each form representative had the opportunity to deliver a speech to their entire year group, outlining their ideas, vision, and passion for making a difference at St Cuthbert’s.
Following the speeches, pupils cast their votes, and the results were counted to determine the year group’s School Councillor. The election process gave students a valuable insight into leadership, responsibility, and the importance of having a voice within the school community.
Congratulations to all those who stood for election – and especially to our newly elected School Councillors. We look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in the year ahead as you work to represent your peers and help shape the future of our school.
