Microsoft Teams will be used slightly differently by staff depending on the government's 'Tier' system. The Tiers are:

  • Tier 1- Schools are fully open but some students may be ill/isolating at home.
  • Tier 2- Secondary schools will adopt a rota system.
  • Tier 3- Secondary schools open for staff, key worker/vulnerable students and ‘selected year groups.’
  • Tier 4- Secondary schools open for staff and key worker/vulnerable students.
  • As we are currently in Tier 1, staff will share their online lesson resources with students via Teams. If your son is absent from school but able to study, he should log into Teams and work through the lesson materials on his own. Where possible he should upload work to his teacher through Teams. He should follow his daily timetable.
