A level/BTEC results

This has been a record-breaking year for Sixth Form students at St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School

It is testament to the hard work of students and staff, and the support of their families, that over 40% of A levels were graded A*-A with 70% achieving A*-B. Across all courses, three quarters of results achieved a top grade in at least one subject, with twenty students achieving top grades across all their subjects. These results are the best in living memory for this outstanding school.

Headteacher, Mrs Davison commented,

'I continue to be delighted at the way our students improve year on year in an ever-changing educational landscape. Students have secured first choice university places across a range of highly competitive research-led universities including Oxbridge and Durham. I am delighted that the school continues to send students on to highly demanding courses such as Medicine and Law, with Louis Clarkson, Lancelot Aguilar and Finlay Anderson all taking up places at Medical School.

'I am equally delighted that some students have chosen to take up highly sought after positions in industry, for example Hasan Halim who will be working with Proctor and Gamble for the next year.

'Many congratulations to students, their families and staff for their energy and passion for learning, which has seen our students take the next step on becoming influential members of society.'
