St Cuthbert's is celebrating another successful year of GCSE results and is immensely proud of all that its young men have achieved.
The Class of 2026 has completed an educational journey unlike any other. Their final two years of primary education were significantly disrupted, and many entered secondary school having missed important experiences that would normally support the transition to GCSE study. For this cohort, these examinations represented their first experience of formal external assessments. Against that backdrop, our pupils have risen magnificently to the challenge. Many have secured the highest grades across a broad range of subjects, reflecting not only their academic ability but also their resilience, determination, and commitment to success.
These achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by our pupils throughout their time at St Cuthbert's, supported every step of the way by their families and by staff who have inspired, challenged, and encouraged them to achieve their very best.

The results provide a strong foundation for the next stage of our pupils' lives. Many will continue their education at St Cuthbert's, while others will pursue a range of further education and vocational pathways. Whatever route they choose, they do so with every reason to be confident, ambitious, and excited about the future.

A defining feature of this year group has been its strong sense of brotherhood and belonging. Through academic study, enrichment opportunities, and pastoral support, our pupils have encouraged one another, celebrated one another's successes, and grown together as a community. These qualities, alongside the excellent results achieved today, will continue to serve them well as they begin the next chapter of their journey.
